Dilawri Rossocorsa Racing proudly announces its exciting new driver lineup for the 2025 Ferrari Challenge North America season.
Dilawri Rossocorsa Racing a partnership founded by Rossocorsa Racing and Dilawri in collaboration with Ferrari of Washington is thrilled about the announcement of its dynamic driver lineup for the highly anticipated 2025 Ferrari Challenge North America season. With a mix of experience, talent, preparation and determination the team and strong driver roster are confident in pursuit of success on and off the track this season.
Joining the team this season are drivers Richard Pineda, Michael Owens, Gabe Hrib, Jeffrey Kiel, and Lance Cawley. Returning proven contenders to the team are Richard Pineda, Gabe Hrib and Michael Owens who saw success and track time with the team last season. Lance Cawley and Jeffrey Kiel look to bring their experience and add to that success as the newest valued additions to the team’s driver roster this season.
All drivers are set to compete this season and make an impact together bringing an enhanced combination of skill, strategy and passion that aligns perfectly with the Dilawri Rossocorsa Racing crew’s and founding vision for victory. Building on the team's reputation and legacy continuing to represent the prancing horse in the renowned competitive Ferrari Challenge North American series.
After a successful first season Dilwari Rossocorsa Racing is ready to take on the highly challenging settings of both familiar and new tracks this 2025 Ferrari Challenge Season. Gaining further track experience for those drivers continuing to fine tune their Ferrari 296 Challenge cars and those familiarizing the new machinery this season with the advanced transition from their Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo cars.
The team has already begun preparation ahead of the new season utilizing practice sessions with testing in Homestead and Sebring, Florida and are readily prepared for the next test in Sonoma, California. Working hard to ensure a strong start to the season and aiming for the highest quality of performance. This season is set to be action packed as the team strives for top results.
Dilawri Rossocorsa Racing returns to the track for the official Ferrari Challenge sanctioned test at Sonoma Raceway in California on February 24th – 25th. This marks the team’s final preparations before the highly anticipated opening round of the 2025 Ferrari Challenge North America season, which kicks off at the same track where the race action will resume in Sonoma from March 5th - 9th.
The drivers were invited to share a bit about themselves to get to know them better and discover what fuels their passions both on and off the race track.
Where are you from and where do you live now?
- “I am from and currently reside in Calgary, Alberta, Canada” - Michael Owens
- “Grew up and live in Northern Virginia and when not racing, spend summers with my family in Bethany
Beach, Delaware.” - Richard Pineda
- “Originally from upstate New York. I moved to Georgia in 1999 and currently reside in a suburb north of

What are your hobbies outside of racing?
- “I am involved in entrepreneur mentorship, and enjoy travelling.” - Michael Ownes
- “Traveling as a happily married family man with my high school sweetheart wife Kate, our three awesome
kids Rachel whose favorite track was COTA, Richie who cannot wait to do a few Club Challenge events in
the ‘retired’ 488 Challenge Evo, Reagan who is my number 1 fan and their companions. Also enjoy boating
and water-sports, and I am an executive in the technology and consulting industry.” - Richard Pineda
- “I am in the structural steel and industrial real estate business. I enjoy spending time with my family. Outside
of work and family, my time is devoted to racing and restoring classic automobiles.” – Gabe Hrib
- “I enjoy many sports over the years but have been most active in soccer here in Georgia. I have played and
coached but over the last 20 years involved in the USSF referee program in Georgia. For the last ten years
I have been a USSF instructor and mentor and truly enjoy working to train young referees.” - Jeffrey Kiel
- “Spending time with Nancy, my wife and biggest supporter of 37 years who also attends most races. My
continued involvement in the startup and operation of multiple successful companies.” – Lance Cawley
What inspired you to get into racing?
- “I’ve always enjoyed racing as a fan, and the mental focus that comes with driving on the track. I now have
the time to elevate track days to the level of competitive racing for fun and the competitive experience.”

- “The thrill and adrenaline rush of competition, mastering tracks, driving fast, and “challenging” one’s self. My
love of Ferrari’s from my favorites the F40, Challenge Stradale, F12TDF, 812Comp, all Challenge and GT
cars, my wish of a vintage Barchetta Ferrari for use in Cavalcade Classiche, Millie Miglia, and Le Mans
Classic, and to look forward to my next order of the F80 and SF90XX.” – Richard Pineda

How did you first get involved in motorsport?
- “I began my involvement simply driving track days and enjoying lapping cars.” - Michael Owens
- “With my passion for cars at such a young age, it was inevitable that I’d get in to racing. First it was
autocrosses, then track days turned into Club Racing, to different marque and venues to Ferrari Challenge.
Have partook in Ferrari Club Challenge 2021, Ferrari Challenge 2022/2024, Ferrari Cavalcade Classiche
Events, and Vintage Rally Racing. Am a two-time Mille Miglia finisher and two- time WarmUp USA finisher
both with a podium finish and my wife as navigator.” - Richard Pineda

- “I have been a Ferrari of Atlanta Challenge driver since 2016. Have raced Ferrari’s for more than ten years

What are your goals for this race season?
- “To develop as a race driver with my first experience racing wheel to wheel against other drivers. The
development opportunity with a professional coach and full analytics is huge and I hope to take full
advantage of it to grow as a driver.” - Michael Owens•
- “The aim this season is clean racing, podiums, and learning the different dynamics and characteristics of my
new car the Ferrari 296 Challenge.” - Richard Pineda
- “Safety is always a top priority. Sure, it’s nice to podium, but to me it is all about the experience and safely

Which track are you most looking forward to?
- “I am most looking forward to racing Laguna Seca.” - Michael Owens
- “Always look forward to Watkins Glen. My first podium finish in Ferrari Challenge was in 2022 in the Ferrari
488 Challenge Evo and my last race in the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo also with a podium finish was at
Watkins Glen. Although, Laguna Seca is a very close second, where I won my first P1 podium finish in 2024.

- “The Daytona track is exhilarating and offers the most challenge, even to experienced drivers. Every race is
different of how you have to prepare mentally as well as physically. I find solace in racing. Racing provides
me with a sense of control and of being far removed from the rest of the world. Running a successful
business is all-consuming, so it is nice to be able to disconnect and recharge through racing.” - Gabe Hrib

How do you prepare mentally and physically for a race?
- “I drive the tracks on a racing sim to learn the basics of the track layout. Racing has been good for my
motivation to work out with more cardio as it is physically and mentally demanding!” - Michael Owens
- “Mentally I prepare listening to a little Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and some hip-hop on full blast in the Dilawri
Rossocorsa trailer and reviewing track videos with my coach Stefano Gai. Physically I make sure to eat well,
get good sleep, and do proper stretches before getting in the car.” - Richard Pineda
- “Racing is very cathartic and relaxing for me. During the off season I continue to stay physically and mentally
prepared by getting on the course as often as possible. Hydration is critical as well as having a focused
mindset. While racing, you have to be very aware of everything around you, so it enables me to step back
from the rest of the world and focus on the task at hand.” - Gabe Hrib
- “Being an older driver, I recognize my physical limits but am glad to still drive a Ferrari. Maybe not as fast,
